Become a Viper

Your journey starts here.

Vipers Run Club isn’t something you just sign up for. It’s something you grow into. We’ve built a deliberate onboarding process because the culture matters as much as the kilometres. Whether you’ve run one parkrun or fifty marathons, if you’re a bloke looking for connection, accountability, and a crew that genuinely has your back. This is where it starts.

How Onboarding Works

We don't do mass sign-ups or open enrolments. Vipers uses a slow-drip approach to onboarding. Small cohorts, introduced gradually, so every new member gets the time and space to find their feet.

Here's how it works:

1. Express interest. Fill out the form below. Tell us a bit about yourself. Who you are, where you're based, and what you're looking for.

2. Confirm your place. We'll be in touch to confirm your spot. Heads up: we currently have a waiting period of around 6 months before the next cohort is onboarded. We know that's a while, but we keep groups small to protect what makes Vipers what it is. It's worth the wait.

3. Join a cohort. We onboard in small groups so you're never walking in alone. You'll be matched with other new starters and introduced to a few existing members who'll look after you.

4. Come to your first Viper Thursday. This is the main event. Our weekly group run from Queenscliff SLSC. Your cohort will run together, and there's always a social element afterwards.

5. End-of-month check-in. After a few sessions, we'll check in to see how you're finding it. No pressure. Just a conversation about whether Vipers feels right for you.

6. Membership set-up. Once you're ready, we'll get you sorted with an official membership. This helps us stay covered for insurance and keeps the club running.

7. Get your Viper shirt. You'll receive your Vipers running shirt. And trust us, earning it makes it feel that much better.

Our Weekly Sessions

Viper Thursday
Our flagship weekly run. Every Thursday evening, we meet at Queenscliff SLSC for an 8 to 12km run across the Northern Beaches. Routes vary week to week. Pace groups mean no one gets left behind. Whether you're chasing a PB or just getting out the door. Afterwards, we head to the Steyne Hotel for a beer and a debrief.

Tuesday Social
A chilled midweek run. Roughly 8km at an easy, conversational pace. No structure, no pressure. Just a good way to break up the week and stay connected between Thursdays.
